Both artist's water colour pan and tube colours are made individually to the higher standard. Pan colour is often used by beginners because it can be less inhibition and easier to control the strength of colour. Tube colour is popular overall and is ideal for those who use high volumes of colour or stringer washes of colours. Of course, artists can use both in any combination they choose.
